Mefat Shabani from Albania is the first student who has applied and has been granted the scholarship offered by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Mefat Shabani is the first-year student of the master's degree study program "Cybersecurity Engineering". He has previously studied at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences as an Erasmus+ exchange student during the academic year 2018/2019.

19 foreign students from partner universities in five countries – France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Armenia will start the new study year at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) together with the new and current students of the university.
Taking into account the political situation in Belarus and the need to provide assistance to the Belarusian society, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) will finance the studies of ten Belarusian citizens at the university from its own budget.
