Gunita Kuļikovska-Ķiesnere, head of the study field “Wooden Houses and Eco-Building” at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, has for several years worked in the company Vividly, which operates in close cooperation with the construction and architecture industries. The Ministry of Education and Science has published the results of the international science evaluation, in which international experts evaluated the scientific performance of all Latvian scientific institutions during the period 2013-2018. Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) is assessed with a score of “three” on a five-point scale, which means “a strong national-level player with some international recognition”.

The political situation in Belarus is difficult, and its society still needs help. Therefore, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) has decided to continue the support programme for students from Belarus by increasing the number of free study places to 30.
