The admission to the bachelor and master study programmes - Information Technologies, Cybersecurity Engineering, Media and Information Literacy, Strategic Communication and Governance,  Virtual Reality and Smart Technologies at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences is extended until August 3, offering scholarships to foreign students.

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Rezekne Academy of Technologies and Ventspils University of Applied Sciences received the license on 5 February 2020, and from September this year will start implementing the doctoral study programme “Economics and Business”.

In order to limit the spread of Covid-19, the Government of Latvia decided to suspend international passenger transportation in mid-March. As a result, Erasmus+ mobility participants were forced to choose either to stay in the country where they study within the mobility programme or return to their homeland. Students of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) Egija Ļuļēna, Elīna Krūkle, Krista Barane, Andra Mētriņa, Marianna Smirnova and Ģertrūde Ozoliņa shared their experience.

Andrés Guzmán Díaz comes from Jalisco, Mexico. He had never visited any of the Baltic States and this is his first time in Latvia. Andrés is studying for master’s degree at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and has been living in Latvia for six months already. He believes that Valmiera is a good place to live in and would love to stay here in the future if the opportunity arises.
