Considering the decisions made by the responsible authorities, a state of emergency has been issued in Latvia until April 14. Consequently, all on-site lessons have been cancelled from March 13 until April 14 and the study process will take place using the available digital platforms of the university. All other internal processes of the university must be implemented remotely.

On December 5, during the annual conference of the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) the winners of the annual information and communication technology (ICT) industry award "Platinum Mouse" were announced. This year Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences has received the highest recognition in the category "Best Cybersecurity Initiative".

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) hosted the 6th International Week, where lectures and workshops were hosted by visiting lecturers and researchers from India, Albania, Egypt, Ukraine, Lithuania and Estonia, including the activities of the Simulation Games in Strategic Communication (SiMGames) project.

From November 4 to 9, everyone has the opportunity to attend lectures of the 6th International Week of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA), where foreign lecturers and researchers from India, Albania, Egypt, Ukraine, Lithuania and Estonia will share their experience and knowledge.
