In order to promote the understanding of the biosphere reserve idea in society and to strengthen the cooperation of the involved stakeholders in a more thorough realization of this concept, an internationally recognized UNESCO Chair “Biosphere and Man” has been established at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Its opening will take place on Thursday, February 7 in Valmiera.

With the beginning of the spring semester, foreign students from Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Albania and Ukraine have started their studies at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA).

At the beginning of the new semester in Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA), four foreign teachers have started their work in the framework of the project “Development of the academic personnel and human resources at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences”.

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) is pleased to announce International Week 2019 “Society. Technology. Solutions." The event will take place in Valmiera, Latvia, from April 23 to April 27, 2019.

The tourism industry representatives will gather at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences on October 25, 2018 at the “BOOSTING EXELLENCE IN HIGHER TOURISM EDUCATION. COOPERATION BETWEEN EDUCATORS AND INDUSTRY” conference, in order to look for solutions that ensure the tourism industry employees are prepared to work in the industry.

Alongside native students, 14 exchange students from Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal and Kazakhstan will spend the autumn semester at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA).
