AR/VR HACKATHON

The Third AR/VR Hackathon is live!

It is an intense, weekend-long augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) hackathon.
The goal is to gather people with different backgrounds and experiences to work together in teams and create disruptive and inspiring products to use in any field you can imagine benefiting from the AR/VR technologies.

If you are a developer, 3D artist, designer, visionary, engineer, creator and you feel you’re ready to push forward and develop your ideas or join someone’s team, we encourage you to participate.
If you already have a team and an idea, you should apply right now; if you do not have a team, we will help you to form one.

Do I have to have experience in AR/VR?
Participants do not have to be experienced in AR/VR. During the three days and two nights you will learn and work on idea execution/problem solving.

During the event participants will be able to get their hands on and work with technology, which usually are not very easily accessible – Magic Leap, Microsoft Hololens, Meta2, Daqri Smart Glasses, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear, Xbox Kinect for Windows, Intel RealSense and more.

There will be mentors from many different areas of business who are currently working with AR and VR on a daily basis. Organizations such as Overly, Accenture, Anatomy Next, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, and others.

The event is fully organized and sponsored by Overly, Vidzemes Augstskola and XR.LV community.

During the event food and soft drinks will be provided by event organizers.
It is advised that you take with you your own laptop and stuff you need to work!
However, if you cannot take your computer, we will provide you one if you let us know in advance.
