Please be aware that to go to Erasmus+ studies, at least one academic year at Vidzeme University has to be completed.
Students of information and communication sciences (Communication and public relations and journalism) can go on exchange studies starting from the 4th semester.
Business administration students can go on exchange studies starting from the 5th semester.
Master's program students - starting from the 2nd semester.
The application must also be accompanied by:
- a letter of motivation, stating why you want to participate in the mobility program and what you expect from studying abroad;
- Information about the desired courses at the chosen foreign university. If such information about the next academic year is not yet available at the partner university, then it is preferable to indicate the courses indicated in this academic year;
- Students with special needs and students from low-income families must also indicate the need and justification for Erasmus+ additional funding with the motivation letter.
FYI!
Before you choose the university to which you want to go for exchange studies, please do your research on the following things:
- Website of the host university, exchange study opportunities within the Erasmus+ program, whether the studies will take place in English or the specific language of the country to which you will go (or will you be capable of studying in, for example, Spanish, German or French);
- Residence - not all universities provide exchange students with residence in university dormitories, as in the case at ViA, often students have to find a place to live on their own (usually there should be information about this on the university's website)
- The monthly rate of the scholarship in the specific country you plan to go to for exchange studies (rates can be seen in Moodle). ERASMUS+ funding may not always cover all expenses! Be prepared that the costs may be higher than the ERASMUS+ scholarship!
