ERASMUS+ BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAM FOR STAFF

DESCRIPTION

The aim of the program is to develop the pedagogical skills of university academic staff to work with innovative teaching methods such as simulations, virtual reality, multimedia, etc. Familiarity with these methods will help university lecturers to develop the skills students will need in the future.

ADDED VALUE

The program will offer both a theoretical insight into the innovative pedagogical methods and their practical application, as well as an opportunity to try them, During the program, participants will also get an insight into Latvia's culture, and traditions, get to know and discuss with the academic staff of universities from different countries.

OUTCOMES

University academic staff will have learned innovative and valuable methods, gained insight into Latvia's culture, and gained new contacts and ideas for cooperation.

EXPENSES

BIP individual support (Erasmus+ scholarship) covers expenses related to travel, accommodation, and catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The sending institution provides this individual support under the Erasmus+ program.

All the cultural activities, such as excursions, welcome dinner, and more (will be specified) are being covered by the organizing institution.

CONDITIONS

The minimum number of Erasmus+ funded participants is 15 (not including teaching/training staff involved in the program's delivery). BIP individual support (Erasmus+ scholarship), and when applicable, travel support to participants for the physical activity is provided by the sending organization (and the receiving HEI in the case of invited staff from enterprises and participants from third countries not associated with the program funded with external action instruments).
